Aqueous Extract of Spring Horsetail

The 1993 Nobel prize winner professor, Adolf Butenandt, already proved decades ago, that life is impossible without Silicon. Silicon has played a decisive role right from the beginning of evolution. Human beings, animals and plants have an essential need for silicon in the form of silicon dioxide. Silicon is especially needed in the lungs, spleen and lymph nodes, and in the blood. The connective tissue needs ample silicon and can fulfil its function only when daily doses of 20-30 mg are consumed. Silicon (as silicon dioxide) is found in unprocessed barley, oats, millet, potatoes, corn, rye, red beets, whole wheat and onions. Unfortunately, processing and refining removes almost all silicon from these foods.

. Silica is a natural nutrient formed from the elemental mineral silicon and oxygen.
. Vegetal silica is abundant in silicon algae and horsetail rushes. The silicon in horsetail gives it the structural support to stand tall.
. In humans, silica is found in the skin, hair, nails, the aorta, and connective tissue throughout the body and the skeletal structure. Many women have successfully used silica instead of calcium as a "bone builder", and for strengthening teeth.
. The human body actually contains on average 7 grams of silica.
. A lack of silica results in lowered elasticity and suppleness of the skin. Collagen contains large amounts of silica. Healthy collagen is of primary importance to healthy-looking, youthful, wrinkle-free skin.
. Silica stimulates cell metabolism and cell formation.
. Silica inhibits the aging process in tissues. A young person's tissues always show a higher silica content which eventually decreases with age.
. Silica stimulates the immune system.
. It increases elasticity and structural integrity of blood vessels.

Bones are mainly composed of calcium, magnesium and phosphate, They also contain silicon, which is important for the utilization & uptake of mineral salts (especially calcium). With post menopausal calcium loss, silica is completely depleted. Taken internally, silica improves recalcification as well as the healing of bone fractures. Silica has also shown results with rheumatic problems around the joints, since it improves the flexibility of tissue. Scientists Zeller and Odier, say silica has a prime role in the defense against cancer.

Their research finds that it works in two ways:

1. As a powerful eliminator of organic waste, particularly urea and uric acid.
2. As a stengthener of connective tissue, which is the prime barrier set up by the body to ward off free radical cells and the degenerative process and acts as a re-mineraliser.

Dr. P.G. Seeger believes it should be added to basic cancer therapy, because of its ability to remove toxic wastes from the system. Silica is also an excellent supplement for those suffering from arthritis and other aches, pains and inflammation. It improves the elasticity of the joints and reduces pain and swelling.

We all need silica regardless of our age. It has a direct influence on the absorption of all minerals which the body requires for energy and youthfulness. ULTRA-SIL is produced from organic, non-irradiated, spring horsetail plants using only a water extraction process. No solvents are ever used.

This amazing seaweed is dried and ground into powder. It is rich in vitamins and minerals, including iodine and many trace elements. Kelp has been used in the treatment of thyroid problems, rebuilding the immune system and strengthening connective tissue. Kelp, synergistically blended with Silica, ensures the human body receives the ideal complement of nutrients for nourishing the skeletal system, connective tissue & endrocime system.
